Story: Men only Yoga – The New Term
It was interesting seeing them all last night.
The new term of men only yoga students.
All standing patiently in anticipation of what was to come.
Seeing them all work through the different postures.
I picked up on what it was they needed from the class.
Breath and movement, as always, let’s get these right, and forefront of awareness.
Finally, they reach relaxation, and they can rest and enjoy the physical stillness.
I could feel my intuition and humanity guiding me in the present moment, attending to their needs not asking more of them they could provide, and adjusting the instructions to keep us all on an even keel.
Now the class ends, we have a collective connection with each other.
I have some understanding of each of them individually and as a group.
We say our goodbyes and I can feel the mutual respect and acknowledgement that we started something important and much needed.
Next week, we build on the relationship and progress we started this week.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
