Welcome to my Yoga CV, I didnt know what to name the page, and most of the words I came up with seemed a little ambigious. CV seemed like the most clear way to say this is where you will find my experience and qualifications, that is in relation to yoga.

I have been practicing yoga since 2004. I was focused on the Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series for the first 6 years, with various teachers who received their training from the home of ashtanga in Mysore (India). My path has changed a little since then, and since April 2010 I have been teaching yoga.

My qualification to teach (diploma level) was gained on a 2 year residentual (67 days) training course at the Mandala Yoga Ashram. The course is accredited with the British Wheel of Yoga which are the governing body for yoga in the UK. I am covered to teach in most european countries and some others outside of europe.

I received comprehensive training from Swami Nishchalananda, Swami Krishnapremananda, Tara Rupa and Hridaya Purna in the following areas;

  • Shatkarma (cleansing)
  • Asana (postures)
  • Pranayama (breathing)
  • Mudra
  • Bandha
  • Yoga Nidra (relaxation)
  • Meditational practices
  • Saftey aspects of teaching yoga
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Professional Studies
  • Study of selected yogic texts, such as; Bhadgavad Git, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Upanishads

I will continue to attend yoga training sessions to keep my skills and knowledge up to date, and will list the training I have attended below. The purpose is so you know how relevant as a teacher I might be for you.
